UP40

The UP40 (Utility Platform 40) luxury yacht model from designer Fulvio De Simoni allows Owners to customise their vessel with a choice of superstructure: Motoryacht, Crossover or Explorer. Of the Explorer model, there are two versions: Classic and Sport. The Antonini Navi shipyard at La Spezia, Italy constructed the first unit with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with a launch date set for 2022.

EXTERIOR

The Crossover version combines the best amenities and layout from both of the other versions. The main deck aft offers a spacious outdoor area, shaded by the sundeck aft overhang. The formal dining area can seat up to 12 guests and is placed close to the glass sliding doors into the main salon.

Behind, a broad sofa and two large armchairs surround a coffee table, with views aft overlooking the large swim platform below. This swim platform is laid out with a sofa ending with a sunbed for each ‘arm’, and a coffee table is in the middle to rest refreshments and personal items. This social space is completed by two armchairs, and this area can be increased by folding down the bulwarks. A gentle incline takes guests close to the water to access the tender and water toys.

The sundeck aft is laid out with sunbeds on both sides, plus a chair and drinks table for the group to savour uninterrupted sunshine in a peaceful environment. The amidships section can be enclosed for use as a winter garden and comes with a bar, alfresco dining area and an abundance of seating for taking in the forward views. The forward section is fitted with a broad row of sunbeds for relaxing in the sunshine.

The foredeck offers a large area with the potential for even more lounging in the sunshine, and the bow area can be installed with a swimming pool.

INTERIOR

The interior layout is customisable, and a General Layout has yet to be revealed by the shipyard.

The engines will provide an estimated top speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and an extensive range of 5,000 nautical miles at an economical 10 knots.
