Long Island 78 Power

The LONG ISLAND 78′ POWER is a modern luxury motor catamaran from JFA Yachts is constructed with an aluminium hull and carbon composite superstructure measuring a total of 23.7m/77.7ft with a broad beam of 11.2m/36.7ft for plenty of space on board. The naval architecture comes from Marc Lombard design group while the interiors are the work of Darnet Design. The accommodation sleeps a total of 10 guests over five en-suite cabins.

EXTERIOR

The main deck aft comes furnished with a raised sunpad on both sides that makes a great place to rest after a large lunch alfresco at the dining table to starboard. Armchairs, stools and a coffee table create a loose lounge to port near the staircase up the flybridge, and a sofa lines the stern. A hydraulic swim platform grants easy access in and out of the water for guests as well as the tender, and there are stairs leading down both hulls to the water.

The foredeck area can be accessed through the interior salon, and this area offers a love seat and L-shaped sofa fitted to the recessed area, with a large spa pool to starboard. The two forward trampoline nets can be used for exercise and as an additional place to sunbathe.

The flybridge above places the wheelhouse forward and centre, and a hardtop creates plenty of shade for the forward sofa that enjoys sweeping views of the surroundings. The aft section has a love seat and side table to port, and a corner sofa and coffee table to starboard.

INTERIOR

The guest and crew accommodation is placed in the port and starboard hulls, with the laundry room amidships in the port hull.

The central living area places the galley aft to port with an island counter in the centre, and forward is an L-shaped sofa around a coffee table. The starboard side of the room hosts the helm controls forward, and the formal dining area behind. The whole room enjoys 360 degree views and an abundance of natural light, with access to the outdoors forward and aft.

On the flybridge, the central wheelhouse is enclosed and offers a sofa for guests to use as a cosy lounge for reading and chatting away from the main group.

A pair of Cummins engines each producing 500 HP allow for a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
