SONISHI

The 40.00m (131′ 3″) motor yacht SONISHI was built by the UK shipyard Sunseeker in 2019 and offers beautiful contemporary interior styling with modern exterior design. The yacht can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 cabins overnight, as well as a crew of 8.

EXTERIOR

The broad and deep lower deck swim platform is ideal for outdoor living beside the water, and once guests have had their fill of the sunshine there is easy access to the shaded main deck aft via two staircases. Here, a pair of symmetrical sofas face inwards and a longer sofa faces aft around a large coffee table to create a space for outdoor meals and social gatherings between 12 guests.

Side passageways connect around to stairways that in turn lead up to the bow, where in front of the helm station there is a generous sunbed surrounded by a railing, allowing the area to double as a spongy observation deck. To the aft, the upper deck has room for a spacious alfresco dining area consisting of a broad square table around which is enough seating for 12 guests.

The sundeck is the final outdoor space and has the most outdoor amenities: The forward Jacuzzi is enveloped in a massive sunbed so that guests can dry off in the sunshine and marvel at the uninterrupted forward views. The central section shaded by the hardtop has an elegant wet bar to starboard and opposite a C-shaped sofa around a raised table for outdoor lounging with hobbies and alfresco dining. The aft section has been left clear for outdoor exercise, and can be laid out with sun loungers.

INTERIOR

The beautiful minimalist interiors have a monochrome colour scheme and play with gloss and matte surfaces to reflect the lighting not only from the numerous ceiling spotlights but also sunlight streaming through the full-height windows.

The lower deck layout places the crew accommodation, mess and facilities in the bow, while the guest accommodation amidships places the two convertible twin cabins forward and the VIP staterooms behind.

The Master suite is positioned on the main deck forward with the galley behind to port and the main foyer to starboard. The aft section combines the formal dining area with the main salon, and guests can savour a meal at the large table that seats 12 while taking in the views of the surroundings through the large windows. Blinds can be drawn for greater privacy in the evening, and spotlights and strip-lighting in the ceiling can be altered to set the ambiance. The salon places an aft-facing L-shaped sofa to port along with a forward-facing loveseat, a coffee table centre and two armchairs opposite to complete the setting.

On the upper deck the helm station is placed forward with the Captain’s cabin to starboard and storage and a day head to port. The skylounge to the aft comes furnished with a port-side bar that has room for a comprehensive selection of spirits, plus seating for three. Behind the bar is a drinks/games table for four guests, and opposite the lounge offers a wall-mounted widescreen TV, a forward-facing L-shaped sofa and a coffee table.

Twin MTU 12V 4000 M93 engines produce a top speed of 22 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 1,036 nautical miles.
