Sunseeker 161

The SUNSEEKER 161 motor yacht from British shipyard Sunseeker is constructed in collaboration with Dutch shipyard Icon Yachts. Among her features is a plunge pool on the main deck aft, a beach club with fold-down terraces and a wet bar, and two magnificent modern lounges featuring the inviting and practical Sunseeker style. Measuring 49 metres, she is the largest steel-hulled model produced by Sunseeker to date and the first hull has a delivery date in 2022. The accommodation sleeps up to 10-12 guests over five en-suite cabins, with the general layout customised to the Owner’s wishes.

EXTERIOR

From the lower deck aft, guests have access to the beach club and to a stairway leading to the main deck aft, where there is a plunge pool along the stern.
Another outside stairways leads connects to the upper deck, where there is an alfresco dining table in the shade of the sundeck overhang. The foredeck is furnished with a sofa and drinks table, with room on the bow for storing tenders and water toys.

On the sundeck, the central area is shaded for comfortable lounging and dining throughout the day, with sun pads forward and sun loungers along the stern that enjoy uninterrupted views of the surroundings.

INTERIOR

The lower deck aft opens up to create a spacious beach club beside the water, with the transom door and side hatches folding down to increase the alfresco area and create an indoor/outdoor flow. Inside, there is a beautiful modern wet bar. The lower deck amidships and forward is dedicated to the guest and crew accommodation.

The main deck forward hosts a spacious Master suite, with the open-plan environment including an office/lounge to starboard for greater privacy between the main foyer and the bedroom. A massive walk-in wardrobe is placed behind the king-sized bed and to port there is a desk/vanity beneath the broad window. The en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower, a toilet, bidet and a double sink.

The main salon to the aft is a desirable gathering spot for the group, offering a chaise-lounger and an L-shaped sofa facing forward, with a leather-padded bench in between to create a visual space. A coffee table is placed within easy reach of the seats, and a widescreen TV is placed within a recess of the forward wall. The aft of the main salon is dedicated to formal dining at the elegant circular table, designed to seat between 10-12 guests. Full-height windows can be found throughout the interior and glass sliding doors open up to the main deck aft.

The upper deck hosts the forward helm controls and there are two plush seats and a drinks table behind the Captain’s chair for guests to enjoy the views while cruising. Behind, the skylounge is an ambient and cosy space for unwinding throughout the day and holding a gathering in the evenings. There is a massive corner sofa placed forward to starboard and a widescreen TV placed within a recess in the forward wall. Behind, there is a circular drinks table with four plush seats. To port, the forward section of the room has a back-lit bar with an extensive variety of spirits, and aft a corner lounge forms an intimate nook for private conversations.

The engines provide a top speed of 20 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles.
