BENETTI FB272

Mega yacht FB272 was launched in 2019 and constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure built to the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC). Spanning six decks, the unique profile was designed by the Owner, who was a significant contributor to the project and produced the exterior styling in collaboration with Hugo van Wieringen from Azure Naval Architects, which was later refined by Giorgio Cassetta from Benetti’s in-house team. Raymond Langton Design and Zaniz Jakubowski of Zaniz Interiors produced the interior styling for mega yacht FB272.

EXTERIOR

The foredeck provides a massive social space for guests to take in the surroundings while entertaining.

The main deck aft offers another large social area for dining and relaxation, with the shelter of the upper deck overhang. The wheelhouse above has another shaded lounging area and access to the helipad to the aft, fully-certified and equipped with a fuelling/de-fuelling station.

On the upper decks the glazing is entirely uninterrupted by superstructure, giving each deck a floating appearance.

INTERIOR

The interior decor and outdoor furnishings were designed by the highly sought after Zaniz Jakubowski of Zaniz Interiors, who also took over the exterior styling from Raymond Langton Designs following the 3D modelling stage.

Diesel-electric engines and two Azipod propulsion units of 2,000kW each are connected to a specialised battery pack conceived and provided by the Owner allows for total vibration-free navigation in complete silence. Six generators of approximately 1,000kW each are managed by a sophisticated power management system that feeds into the Azipod propulsion system, and spare electricity is used to charge 35 tons of batteries that can power the yacht for up to 12 hours without engines.

Among her other technical achievements is a She features an advanced Lutron domotic system where approximately 500 kilometres of cables run across her hull and superstructure, all of which are concealed so that Owners and guests can focus on the brilliant views from the 3m/9.8ft tall windows.
