POWER PLAY

55.5m/182ft expedition support yacht POWER PLAY is the sixth hull in the YS 5009 series and with launch in 2018 by Damen Yachts, who also created her naval architecture. The beam measures 9m/31ft and the draft comes to 2.7m/9ft. The accommodation sleeps up to six guests across three large cabins.

EXTERIOR

On the main deck, there is plenty of room to store tenders and large water toys such as submersibles. The YS 5009 series is also designed with a helipad to ensure that the owner and guests have panoramic views and easy transportation even in the world’s remotest regions.

The 12 tonne deck crane and stern A-frame fittings provide easy launch and retrieval of the tenders and toys. When clear, the main deck can be used for sunbathing or entertaining. The sundeck offers guests an additional place to unwind in the sunshine and dine alfresco.

INTERIOR

The stern area has space for a 50m²/164ft² dive centre or adventure centre while the forward section can fit the guest accommodation. The forward main salon is also the observation lounge where guests can take in extensive views of their location.

The YS 5009 series has a maximum speed of 20 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
