Explorer Project Northland

Launched in 2017, 32m/103ft superyacht NORTHLAND (ex.PROJECT 105) was built by Burger Boat Company with interiors and exteriors by Miami-based Luiz de Basto Design. The full displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure are designed to the owner’s custom requirements, with an emphasis on fishing in remote areas away from marinas designed to service superyachts.

NOTABLE FEATURES

  • Spacious main deck library,
  • Excellent sundeck layout with Jacuzzi and bar,
  • Designed for fishing expeditions
  • Private owner's suite on the upper deck,
  • Great range of 4,000 nautical miles

On the lower deck, there is a large swim platform that can be used as a fishing station. The interior is fitted with an aft lazarette for water toys and other equipment, forward of which is the engine. The mid-half of the ship forward is dedicated to guest and crew accommodation, with two double cabins and one twin cabins for guests, and crew cabins and a captain’s cabin.

The main deck salon is situated to the aft and contains a large seating area close to the port side windows with a bar opposite. A day head and galley create a corridor to the formal dining area, where up to 8 guests can dine in comfort. Forward of the formal dining area is a generously proportioned library with a large L-shaped sofa, armchairs and coffee tables.

On the main deck aft, there is a large table beside the integrated stern seating for alfresco dining and outdoor lounging, with the upper deck overhand acting as a shade. Two staircases connect the upper and lower decks for ease of access.

The upper deck is the location of the Master suite, which also has two walk-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom. A hallway connects the Master suite to the helm station, where there is a small lounge area to act as a tranquil spot away from the main group. On the main deck aft, there is a large alfresco dining area along the stern, plus two sun loungers and a smaller table for quiet drinks and games. The bow is spacious enough to store up to two tenders, with a crane to lower them into and retrieve them from the water.

The sundeck contains an aft Jacuzzi with a large sunpad section to the port side. Farther forwards, there is an integrated seating area with table for alfresco dining and a bar opposite for refreshments throughout the day.

A pair of CAT C18 ACRET, 475 BHP engines allow luxury yacht NORTHLAND to reach a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 12.4 knots. At 9.5 knots, she is capable of a range of 4,000 nautical miles. A shallow draft of 2.3m/7ft allows her to enter sheltered anchorages and approach closer to secluded beaches.
