SONNY

Launched by the US builder Brooklin Boat Yard in 2013, sailing yacht SONNY is the rendition of an earlier Brooklin Boat Yard-built 70’ Center Cockpit Racing / Cruising Sloop, originally launched in 2000 and penned by Dieter Empacher. Designed for performance and cruising comfort, luxury yacht SONNY is a custom cold-molded craft, which mixes up traditional finishes with modern structures.

SONNY yacht’s elegant interior in the Herreshoff finish offers lovely and comfortable accommodation in a generous owner’s stateroom aft plus two double guest staterooms and a captain’s cabin forward. There are also three heads and three showers.

A true racer/cruiser built to last lifetimes, the 70-foot luxury yacht SONNY easily makes over nine knots on the wind, and 12 to 15 knots off the wind. Her beam is of 4,88m (16’6”), while her draft is of 2,44m (8′).
