ARMADA

Motor Yacht ARMANDA (ex Prima, Columbus 177) is a 53.7m (176’2″) luxury superyacht built by the Italian shipyard Palumbo. Superyacht ARMANDA features exterior design by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro-Tech and wonderful interior design by Tommaso Spadolini. She was launched in June 2011 and has all the ‘musts’ of a luxury charter yacht.

Palumbo yacht ‘ARMANDA’ is an ABS/RINA classed and MCA compliant. She offers luxury accommodation to 12 guests in 6 staterooms, including the full-beam Owners’ suite with a private balcony and the VIP suite located on the bridge deck. Guests, owner and common guests areas cover about 350 m2 and are furnished with the highest quality Italian marbles (Marmo Calacatta Oro), woods (Rovere and Noce Canaletto) and Italian leather and drapery.

Columbus 177 motor yacht ARMANDA with her 53.9 metres and a beam of 10.2 metres provides her private guests, or potential charter guests, with wide-open spaces to relax and unwind. Prima’s hull is made of steel with a superstructure constructed of light alloy to reduce the weight and to get a low ZG grating high stability standards. The hull is round displacement type with bulge and a transom stern. Her superstructure is white contrasting with her grey hull colour.

She is powered by two MTU 16V 4000 M60 diesel engines developing 1760kW at 1800 rpm which enable her to reach a maximum speed of 18.5 knots. Her range is 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Columbo 177 ‘ARMANDA’ Yacht is equipped with a twin spade high lift rudder plant, and low-speed steering assisted by a bow thruster. The comfort during navigation is granted by four stabilisers fins to provide active roll reduction both in underway and “at anchor” condition. The electric power required for ship service is provided by two Caterpillar C9 diesel generator (2×175 kW) and a Caterpillar C4.4 diesel generator (80 kW).
