Expedition Coregonus

Motor Yacht Coregonus is a 60 foot long research vessel built by Burger Boat Company for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, launched in April, 2011. Yacht Coregonus was designed by SeaCraf Design in Sturgeon Bay, WI meeting all the demanding requirements of the department.

An onboard laboratory, gill net fishing equipment, trawl net reel, folding dive platform, crane and hydro-acoustic gear makes the R/V Coregonus a versatile research vessel that can be used in all but the most extreme sea conditions. In addition, the pilothouse windshield and open aft deck are heated to prevent icing during winter operations.

The R/V Coregonus is powered by twin Caterpillar C12 engines and has a cruising speed of 20 knots.
