Heesen luxury yacht ELA, known during construction as PROJECT ALTEA and HULL YN 19550, has been delivered to her Owners and is now cruising in the Western Mediterranean.

As the second model in the sub-500 GT Nova Plus class from Heesen, M/Y ELA measures 49.8m/163.4ft and is constructed with an aluminium fast-displacement hull for a shallow draft of 2.15m/7ft along with excellent comfort and manoeuvrability. Exterior styling comes from Omega Architects while Heesen and Van Oossanen Naval Architects took charge of the naval architecture.

There was a period of only three months between purchase by the Owners and delivery, and they worked closely with interior designer Cristiano Gatto and the Heesen team to personalise the spaces to suit their needs.
One of the notable engineering feats is the peak-shaving battery system, which is the first to be installed aboard a Heesen yacht. This technology comes with myriad benefits for more efficient and sustainable cruising, including the seamless storage of energy when excess is generated, to be used later so that reliance on additional generators is mitigated. As a result, she is one of the most efficient yachts of her type ever built in the Netherlands.

A pair of MTU 2000 M72 V12 engines give her a top speed of 19.5 knots and a transatlantic cruising range of 3,750 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Guests are accommodated across 6 en-suite cabins, which include 1 Master suite on the main deck, and 1 full-beam VIP stateroom, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins on the lower deck to sleep a total of 12 pax.
