Popular 58m/190ft luxury charter yacht SKYFALL underwent a drastic change of hull colour in just under a week ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show 2019, all done using the innovative vinyl wrap from LuxWrap.

The stark white hull is the largest vessel so far to undergo a vinyl wrap transformation, with 53.2m/174.7ft superyacht BELLAMI.COM (ex.KINTA, VINYDREA) now sporting a glamorous gold hull following her transformation early in August while M/Y BLUSH had her interiors redecorated using the technique.

LuxWrap founder commented:

“We all know that painting Superyachts is expensive and time-consuming and must be done at least every 10 years, [and] it is our opinion that wrapping should not be considered as an alternative to paint, but rather as a compliment. Wrapping lasts several years and has an incredible range of colours/finishes unavailable in the paint. It also protects the paint from the elements and UV. When we combine this with our unique ‘in the water’ installation process, the cost can be as low as 1/10th the cost of paint [for a 50m/164ft vessel], and even lower in percentage terms as the yacht size increases, both because we work quickly and efficiently, and also because we completely eliminate the need to slip/drydock.”

Images and video show how the LuxWrap team seamlessly completed the installing while luxury yacht SKYFALL remained in the water, wrapping around the curves of the stern and its transom door as well as the stairwells and around the stainless steel balustrades.
