Constructed in 1993, luxury ketch JULIET is in an excellent candidate for the latest green technologies that are providing myriad benefits from reduced environmental impact with zero emissions technology to reduced noise, better operation and increased cost-saving.

The Owners chose hybrid pioneers Huisfit to provide the facilities and expertise for the conversion, whose first hybrid conversion (and the world’s first hybrid yacht) was 58m/190ft ketch Ethereal in 2009.

The shipyard meticulously planned the refit procedure ahead of the arrival of S/Y JULIET by using 3D scanning to engineer the layout and order parts so that work could begin immediately.

Huisfit has seen an increased number of classic sailing yachts choosing to upgrade to hybrid technology as Owners adopt the latest technology in anticipation of future environmental regulations: A 30m/99ft Royal Huisman cutter is currently receiving the hybrid conversion treatment at the moment.

Luxury yacht JULIET has been received at the Huisfit facilities in Amsterdam and will be redelivered to her Owners mid-2020.

This month Royal Huisman and Huisfit will also be exhibiting at the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 (25th-28th of September) and are located at Quai des États-Unis, stand QE24.
