The 50m (164’04”) superyacht PROJECT BOREAS has been launched at Heesen. She was designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, who created her modern and sporty look with a custom metallic Mountain Grey hull and superstructure. The interiors are the work of Mark Whiteley in collaboration with the owner, who specifically wished for sophisticated yet cozy indoor spaces.

The construction of the yacht began on speculation and was based on Heesen’s successful platform of Nova Pluss with a Fast Displacement Hull Form. Motor yacht PROJECT BOREAS has a fuel consumption of 98 litres per hour without including generators. She offers fantastic fuel efficiency for a superyacht of her size and has a 499GT and 320-ton displacement.
The yacht was built with small overhangs of the superstructure which allows for an abundance of natural light in the indoor spaces. The sundeck features glass panels with built-in blinds in the roof for a brighter and lighter atmosphere. Oversize windows in the sky lounge can be opened and controlled remotely to let plenty of fresh in.

Among her amenities, there is a gymnasium with two Technogym running machines on the fixed swim platform, several indoor and outdoor dining areas, sunbathing spaces and loungers.
Yacht PROJECT BOREAS is powered by two MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines and has a top speed of 20 knots. At 12 knots she will have a range of 3,750 nm.
She is yet to undergo sea trials in Hellevoetsluis prior to the delivery in August this summer.
