Dutch shipyard Van Der Valk has announced that its two new motor yachts from the BeachClub series, the BEACHCLUB 600 and the BEACHCLUB 660, are nearing completion and will be launched in spring and summer this year.

Constructed entirely from aluminium, the patented design moves the engine room into the swim platform, resulting in an increased interior volume for guests on the lower deck. The innovative design creates a massive sunbathing area out of the swim platform, with the main deck above offering a sunny alfresco dining area to aft and on the foredeck, where a tender is stored beneath the helm station and a sunbed is spread across the bow.

Another sunbathing and outdoor lounging area can be found on the flybridge, where guests can take advantage of the elevated views to watch regattas or simply take in the surroundings. The BEACHCLUB 660 has an outside area of 17m²/182.9ft² for the lower and main aft decks with 25m²/269ft² on the foredeck.

The interiors are just as well considered, with a main deck salon flooded with natural light from the surrounding glazing on all sides, plus a lower lounge that is combined with a dinette and galley placed close to the guest accommodation for convenience.

The smaller BEACHCLUB 600 model will be equipped with a twin Volvo Penta IPS-950 propulsion system for a maximum speed of 25 knots, whereas the BEACHCLUB 660 will have an excellent top speed of 30 knots. Noise levels will be minimised using placing sound-generating equipment inside the platform – and therefore away from the guest accommodation.

Van der Valk has commenced construction on a second BEACHCLUB 600 hull on speculation, with the option for an Owner to opt for the flybridge version during the early stages of construction.
