The first yacht launched in 2019 by the respected Dutch shipyard Amels has hit the water yesterday. Boasting Tim Heywood exteriors, the 55-metre superyacht belongs to the Limited Editions series and is being built under the hull number 473. Once completed, she will accommodate up to twelve guests on board and will be serviced by a professional crew of 13.

AMELS 473 is of 707GT and features naval architecture by the yards in-house technical department. Elegant and custom-designed interiors were created by Laura Sessa, with main features such as the main-deck master suite with a fold-out balcony, a large bridge deck or the huge 180 sqm. sun deck.

The first 2019 Limited Editions yacht AMELS 473 will reach a top speed of approximately 15.5 knots and have a cruising speed of 13 knots. Her nautical mile range is 4,500 nm at cruising speed.

AMELS 180 yacht AMELS 473
The vessel was launched via a Roll-on/Float-off or ‘RoFlo’ method which was perfected at the shipyard over the last decade, requiring a high degree of planning and teamwork while being low-risk for the yacht. In addition, AMELS also reversed the operation (Float-on / Roll-off) for the hull of another vessel currently under construction, which can now be found in one of the two building bays. The shipyard also has two fully climate-controlled drydocks, one 140 metres in length and one 200 metres in length. AMELS 473 is due to be delivered this summer, while other two Limited Editions AMELS 180 yachts (hull 474 and 475) are also under construction.
