OMAHA, the striking 50-metre motor yacht that has seen her technical launch in April has been delivered to her proud owner. Constructed by the respected Dutch shipyard Heesen as Project MAIA (YN 18350), OMAHA represents the first yacht in the yards new Steel Class series, with exterior design by Clifford Denn and interiors by Reymond Langton Design.

Her delivery follows on the intensive sea trials in the North Sea in calm to moderate sea conditions. Omaha has proven to be exceptionally manageable thanks to her large rudders and power steering unit and has exceeded her contractual speed, reaching 16 knots.

Fitted with twin MTU 8V4000 M63 engines, she has a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 3,800 nautical miles. The round bilge steel hull with bulbous bow offers comfort for the guests on board, excellent sea keeping and great performance. Ohana weighs below the 500GT threshold and is the successor of the 47m Steel Class. The second 50m Steel Class motor yacht, Project Triton (YN 18850) is currently under construction, available for delivery n 2020.
