The new projects will involve the talents of world-leading naval architects and designers, including Malcolm McKeon, Mark Whiteley and Lucio Micheletti to create the ultimate combination of performance, luxury and beauty.

What are the advantages of carbon composite hulls?

Composite materials have long been used in the marine industry to increase speed, maintenance, efficiency and stability. As fabrication methods improve, carbon fibre as a composite is increasing in popularity and in turn, reducing the costs to manufacture it.

Composite materials – and in particular carbon composites – have a high strength to weight ratio, making them light and durable, enhancing performance and reducing the impact of the roll when conditions on the water are less than ideal.

PINK GIN VI will become the world’s largest carbon fibre sloop at 175ft and her launch later in 2017 is expected to be one of the most impressive superyacht launches of the year.

CEO Henry Hawkins said: “Baltic Yachts is enjoying fair winds right now with a healthy and diverse order book. The Baltic team has a busy year ahead with existing projects and is looking forward to starting work on these new orders.”

The three new carbon composite sailing yachts will commence later in 2017.
