Yachting Developments of New Zealand have announced the exciting launch of their latest new-build superyacht, the 33,83m CYGNUS MONTANUS constructed under hull n°1012. She was transported from the builder’s Hobsonville yard to Auckland‘s Viaduct Harbour where she hit the water with ease.

“Launch day is always special to us as it sees the culmination of the vision of the yacht’s owners and the dedication and hard work of our team,” said Ian Cook, Managing Director of Yachting Developments. “It is a pleasure to welcome Cygnus Montanus to the Yachting Developments fleet and to see her on the water for the first time.”

CYGNUS MONTANUS was constructed for experienced owners to a design by German Frers of Frers Naval Architecture while her interiors were created by Adam Lay Studio. This striking ocean-going composite sloop was created to travel the world and undertake blue water sailing while being easily handled by a small crew. The yacht boasts a lifting keel which will allow her to access even the more remote areas for anchorage.

The interiors have been designed with family living in mind, with a large full beam main saloon with a dining area as well as a galley and crew accommodation forward. All the interiors boast large skylights, providing rooms with natural light.

Accommodation layout includes a full beam owner’s cabin aft and three guest cabins. Each cabin has its own personality with décor themed around trips undertaken on the owner’s previous yacht.
