The new Index Marine Deck Gland
Index Marine, one of Europe’s best known manufacturers of marine electrical installation equipment, will introduce its new range of deck glands at METS 2010. The glands are designed and certified to offer the best possible watertight protection for cable and pipe transits on all types of vessel.
The new Index Marine DG range is available in UV stable nylon, marine grade anodised aluminium and in response to customer requests for a high polish fitting for luxury yachts a polished 316 stainless steel range has also been developed. Index Marine deck glands are available in an aperture range of 8mm to 50mm, they are easy to fit and do not require the removal of fitted connectors during installation.
The new Index Marine DG range has recently passed the British standard BS EN 60529:1992, highest level of ingress protection certification, IP68.
