The renowned Bannenberg and Rowell Design studio have revealed details of the 81,70-metre luxury expedition superyacht project Kilkea, currently under build at the commercial shipyard Vard in Norway. This innovative vessel is environmentally friendly with a clean design and emphasis on low fuel consumption.

Boasting optimised hull form and bow shape for all weather conditions and specific propulsion configuration, project Kilkea will provide exceptional sea-keeping abilities. With the main focus on safety and comfort on board, the yacht will have capacities for 30 days and ability to cruise in unchartered waters, exploring remote areas of the planet, including operations in light ice conditions.

It is unknown at this stage if she will be available for yacht charter in the future or used by her owner privately, however, the superyacht will be equipped with a great range of equipment and water toys, which will be easily available to guests.

Her main purpose is to provide the utmost in comfort and entertainment for a large amount of guests in the various socialising spaces such as salon, dining and relaxation areas. She will undertake discovery cruise operations, including exploring uncharted and remote destinations, in addition to supporting exploration and water sports activities.

Deluxe accommodation will be offered to up to 36 guests on board. It appears that she will feature such luxury amenities as swimming pools and a helicopter pad. She is expected to reach a maximum speed of 15,4 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
