25m Abeking & Rasmussen Swath Yacht ‘EXPLORER’ on Sea Trials

The 25 metre SWATH yacht, currently under construction at the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard in Germany has been spotted on sea trials. The vessel was named ‘EXPLORER’ and represents a Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull (SWATH) boat, and her launch follows that of the 41m SILVER CLOUD yacht by the same shipyard. The SWATH design is usually utilised on commercial or military vessels, however Abeking & Rasmussen are believed to be the first ones to have applied it to private vessels.
