The end of 2015 was marked by the arrival of the WIDER 165 motor yacht Project CECILIA in the Superyacht Division’s facility in Ancona, Italy. The flagship of WIDER Yachts designed by Fulvio De Simoni, CECILIA is currently under construction, expected to be delivered to her Owner in a year time.

The sun deck was successfully welded to the main superstructure, now allowing visitors to the shipyard to appreciate the vessel’s sleek and well-proportioned profile in its entirety.

The WIDER design office is currently working on the final arrangements for interior cabinetry, with shipyard workers busily laying piping and cables throughout the interior of the yacht. In total approximately 70 km of wiring will be used in the vessel, including the sizeable main cables carrying power from the four variable speed diesel generators in the bow to the electric motors above the pods in the stern.

Although based upon a similar design brief of her predecessor, CECILIA will have some notable differences to the WIDER 150, including her capability to host a personal submarine in the beach club, a T-Top with crystal sliding doors to always use the sun deck to the best in all weather conditions and the altered foredeck that incorporates two circular tables and seating areas together with a gorgeous hot tub as well as a private helicopter pad. Moreover, she will boast the generous WIDER Beach Club with wet launching system for the Wider 32 tender and huge master stateroom with an elegant private terrace overlooking the sea.

New images have now been unveiled showing the new T-top and the interior design of this magnificent project, corresponding to WIDER’s mission of enhancing the connection of the owner and guests to the water at all times through the use of large windows, side-opening balconies and spacious exterior dining and entertaining areas.

Architects at IdeaeItalia have teamed up closely with Tilli Antonelli in order to obtain very bright interior spaces mixed up with warm colours, linear and clean design and a perfect balance of wood, glass and leather along with some details linked to oriental culture. Materials available onboard are mainly deep sanded oak, roman travertine, premium quality leathers and Italian white marbles.

Among the many special features on board the WIDER 165 CECILIA belongs the owner’s private terrace overlooking the sea, which opens off the full-beam master cabin. The sizeable guest quarters include four en-suite cabins, all positioned on the lower deck.
