The leading UK luxury yacht builder, Oyster Marine, has proudly announced that the tooling for the build of the first super yacht Oyster 118 is expected to be completed soon. The first parts of sailing yacht Oyster 118-001 are being moved from Poole in Dorset to Marine Concepts at their base in HMS Daedalus near Portsmouth.

The two halves of the topside mould are the first pieces to move, representing the longest loads ever to be moved by road in the county of Dorset! They are too big to reach their destination by road and will complete their journey by barge from Southampton docks, and then craned off into place.

Once set up in the 45m x 60m shed, the hull moulding of super yacht Oyster 118-001 is set to begin in early November 2015. Once completed, the Hull & Deck will be moved by barge to Oyster’s Southampton shipyard.
