Stage one of a full varnish project aboard the 55m Vitters super yacht Marie has been recently completed by the Absolute Boat Care International Varnish Team. The 2015 Superyacht Cup Palma winner, sailing yacht Marie reached Palma in June 2015.

Since winning Europe’s longest running superyacht regatta in June, luxury yacht Marie has been lifted out of the water and has had a team of between 8-12 members of the Absolute Boat Care professional varnish experts on board.
Last month, the 1920’s style modern classic yacht Marie had her woodwork stripped back to the original wood, and twelve build up coats of Epifanes PP varnish applied with a brush finish to the cap rail, and two deck cabins. Once the beautiful ketch has been painted, Absolute Boat Care will then come back in to spray on the final three coats of varnish.

The exterior removable pieces have been taken from the Marie yacht to the workshop, where they were placed in the sterile spray tent for the spray varnish finish.

At the moment, ABC is also working on some varnish work on Royal Huisman sailing yacht Elfje.
