Turkish naval architect Harun Kemali and architect Işık Gören have beautifully designed the striking 180-foot sailing yacht Wings of Light concept. Superyacht Wings of Light has been developed for Showboats Design Awards, in which both designers became finalists in the Young Designer of the Year Award.

Design of super yacht Wings of Light is a combination of traditional and comfortable layout with minimalistic and modern style. Streamlined superstructure and large glass surfaces compose general modern look while emphasizing her fast racing characteristics. Cosy and comfortable exterior sociable areas provided to guests on-board with large flybridge, protected cockpit and sunbathing lounges. Waterfall and pool are located aside cockpit dining to create ultimate luxury and relaxing environment. As a result an elegant and genuine yacht is created which fulfils all customer requirements.

Minimalistic, contemporary and naturally bright interiors offer qualitative environment for yachtsman with light wood materials, turquoise and dark blue colours. Spacious arrangement ensures physiological comfort while light colours and modern design maximize relaxation. Minimalistic and modern interiors reflect exterior design philosophy, even premature lines in brainstorming phase still exist in final design as lighting elements which also creates slightly futuristic atmosphere.

Designers say, in nature simple beauty contains great mathematics behind as well as in human creation; no doubt art and science have a common matrix. The matrix of art and science continues also here, where yacht design is a hard decision making progress; in which, change in the simple decision may lead to a totally different result as similar in chaos theory and butterfly effect. As wings of butterfly fluttered in this design process, initial lines started to turn into a nice final yacht which integrates with the sea by feeling and engineering rather than a randomly designed floating object on sea. All in all; modern, plain and welcoming yacht is hopefully created with bright yet simple solutions, kindly inspired by the sophisticated beauty of light which still continues to amaze many artists and scientist.
