A few months after the liquidation of the Baglietto shipyard in March 2010, the Group Effebi-Overmarine and Sanlorenzo were bidding to buy the assests of Baglietto. It has been reported that Overmarine has won, with a bid of 33 million Euros to buy Baglietto together with the Cantieri Pisa shipyard.

“Naturally there will be synergies, Overmarine will continue to make Mangustas, Cantieri di Pisa will continue to make fibreglass cruisers, and Baglietto will carry on with its specialisation in steel and aluminium superyachts.” President of Effebi-Overmarine Giuseppe Balducci told Italy’s La Stampa news paper.
