On Tuesday the 30th of March 2010 Nobiskrug launched the newly finished hull of their 74m motor yacht Mogambo – hull number 782 from the shipyard. The finished hull of the yacht ran smoothly from the slipway into the River Eider within a few seconds.
Presently, the 74 m superyacht Mogambo is to be moored at Nobiskrug’s pier in Germany. She will then be moved into the 160 m superyacht hall for her full interior outfitting, as well as the filling and final top-coating of the hull and superstructure. Delivery of the motor yacht Mogambo to her owner is planned for later in 2011, after sea trials.
Nobiskrug of Germany is currently building five significant mega yachts. A couple of the company’s more recent success are motor yachts Triple Seven and SIREN.
During yacht Mogambo’s launching ceremony an old tradition was followed. This consisted of the serving up of a good hearty soup in the shipbuilding hall for all the employees and subcontractors involved in the new build. Nobiskrug’s Managing Directors and the Project Manager, Mr Mark Velthaus, as well as the Owner’s Representative expressed their thanks for the trustful and successful cooperation in the building of the yacht.
