Installation of three Seakeeper 26 gyros on the 46-metre Heesen motor yacht Big Mak (ex Blowzy) took place at Sunrise Yachts in Antalya, Turkey. The installation of the Seakeeper gyros on superyacht Big Mak was performed by the Sunrise yard, with influence and direction from Turkish Seakeeper Distributor, Marina Deniz Araclari, as well as the Mulder Design Group.

During commissioning sea trials, zero speed roll reduction was calculated to be 82% in sea conditions of over 5 meters – representing a significant improvement in comfort at sea. The crew of luxury yacht Big Mak declared the performance difference to be “like day & night”.
Sunrise Yachts is also concurrently working on another Seakeeper project, a Palmer Johnson 45M, which will be fitted with 3 X Seakeeper 26. This project is slated to be complete in August 2014.
