Scorpion RIBs are proud to continue their support for Sir Ben Ainslie as the battle for the iconic America’s Cup begins. Scorpion has provided Chase boats to Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR) team since they started racing in the America’s Cup World Series in August 2012 and the Extreme sailing series this year.

Last year Scorpion delivered a Serket 98, which was used in the America’s Cup World Series in Naples and San Francisco. Team Oracle USA, with Sir Ben on board, went on to win the America’s Cup against Emirates Team New Zealand, in the greatest turn around in sporting history, going from 1.8 down to win at 9.8.
This year a new 9.8m Scorpion is being built to work alongside BAR America’s Cup 45. In respect of his win, this specially designed Scorpion, with more open deck space will be the Scorpion 98, pronounced Nine Eight in recognition of the famous final Score.
