Dubois Naval Architects are proud to announce that the 46,2-metre Feadship super yacht Como has now been handed over to her new Owner. The striking semi-displacement motor yacht Como represents the first Dubois-designed superyacht built by Feadship.

Commissioned by repeat client of Dubois, Neville Crichton, the entirely custom two-and-a-half-deck superyacht Como was hugely influenced by his experience at sea and the yacht is of the highest possible quality.

Neville Crichton comments: “Once the decision to work with Feadship for the first time was made, I followed the construction process closely at all stages. I am pleased to be able to report that Feadship has exceeded my expectations (in particular the quality and finish of their workmanship) in all areas and working with them both professionally and personally has been an enjoyable experience, with a remarkable and unique superyacht as the end result.”

Ed Dubois comments: “The resulting motor yacht has wonderful visual impact. Her flowing lines, reverse sheer line, bow profile and great attention to aesthetic detailing provides, we believe, the sleekest look imaginable combined with a sense of power and seawothiness. The standard of construction, from the De Vries Feadship yard, is wonderful and utterly peerless.”

The design of Como superyacht incorporates extensive use of glass. The yacht has exceptionally large windows in both the hull and the superstructure. The glass is flush with the metal rather than being set into it, creating a continuous surface.

One of the Como yacht’s most innovative exterior features is the super-large sundeck that doubles as both an open-air or interior space with full air conditioning, thanks to the surrounding glass panels that can be individually raised and lowered.

The interior styling of luxury yacht Como by Redman Whiteley Dixon is sympathetic to the exterior theme and is both elegant and progressive, using dark timbers, polished stainless steel and fine detailing.

The interior arrangement features a rotating circular floor in the main saloon, allowing the seascape to be admired from any direction with ease. The engineering of this feature, devised by Feadship, relies on compressed air to provide silent, frictionless rotation at the touch of a button.

Henk de Vries comments: “Everything has been totally customised to the client’s individual requirements. We have used the very latest technologies and developments on what is sirely the most sophisticated 46m superyacht in the world today.”
