Building on the great success of the Superyacht Technical Seminar, the British Marine Federation (BMF), in partnership with Superyacht UK, is delighted to announce the agenda for the 2014 Technical Seminar. Set to be hosted by the 2014 London Boat Show, on Thursday, January 9, the seminar will bring together delegates from across the world to consider the superyacht sector.

The 2014 event, which in 2013 attracted more than 125 attendees, promises to deliver a blend of insight and information that will see Sir Alan Massey, Chief Executive of the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) open proceedings with a presentation on his thoughts of the importance of the superyacht market to the global fleet.
The Vessel Policy Branch of the MCA and the BMF Technical team will provide an informative overview of regulatory developments over the last 12 month, including discussing the work of the International Standards Organisation Large Yacht Sub Committee and the MCA implementation of the Maritime Labour Convention 2006.
Juliet Benning, Editor of Superyacht Business will round off the morning’s action with an insight into the influence of media in the global superyacht sector, from editorial influence to exploring how reporting can be utilised to lobby specific campaigns for the benefit of industry.
The day will conclude with a lively panel discussion exploring the entire superyacht process from the owners’ initial inspiration through to sea trails, and an outline of an owners’ perspective throughout the Superyacht experience, providing invaluable client insight to all aspects of the sector.
