Taken place in Athens, Greece, from May 28 to 29, this year’s 2nd Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum was a resounding success. The event was attended by more than 650 participants as well as 32 exhibitors from 25 countries, participating in a two-day industry focused dialogue. The 3rd edition of the Forum is already scheduled for May 2015.

Posidonia

As the East Med and the Black Sea have been identified by the sea tourism industry as the region with the greatest potential for further development, the Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum is set to become the major meeting point for the industry with the region’s authorities, destinations, product and service providers, with the long term goal of creating win-win situations for all stakeholders involved.

Senior international policy and decision makers from the global cruise and yachting industry met with Greek and international government officials, regulators, and local authorities at the 2nd Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum, during which important issues were raised, which can lift existing obstacles to further development of the region’s economies through increased sea tourism volumes.

Intense debate in the conference halls, a busy exhibition floor, fruitful B2B meetings and presentations focused on Black Sea Destinations resulted in renewed commitment by all stakeholders involved to further explore the potential of the region and to regularly engage the wider sea tourism community at the Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum.
