To be organised by the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX), the Australian Pavilion will once again represent the Victorian marine manufacturers as well as service providers at the next Dubai International Boat Show. The Australian Pavilion cements Australia’s position as a key player in the global market.
2012 AIMEX Site visit - Turkey
Prior to the show, AIMEX with the support of the State Government of Victoria have organized a trade mission to Turkey to look at superyacht builders and opportunities for Australian companies in this market. Post this mission, the companies will travel to the Dubai International Boat Show to reinforce their presence in this market where they have exhibited for the past 8 years.
AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards commented: “It is critical in this market for Australian manufacturers to maintain a strong brand presence globally. The support provided by the State Government of Victoria has been a key factor in enabling such a strong contingent at the show and will certainly drive positive results for Victorian exporters.
The show to be held 5-9 March will be a premier platform for Victorian companies and AIMEX members to take advantage of opportunities in the emerging Gulf marine market. Despite the current economic climate, the marine export market in the UAE region is still seen as having considerable potential.”
The Middle East is the only region in the world that can boast such a huge level of investment in waterfront developments. These massive waterside developments in both Dubai and the surrounding region are generating increased demand for leisure boats, equipment and associated services.
AIMEX the coordinator of the Australian pavilion is the peak body for the Australian marine export industry. The members encompass a huge range of marine products and services with manufacturers, designers, consultants, service providers and boat show organizers.

AIMEX together with the State Government of Victoria and Austrade will once again host an important networking event on March 4, the evening before the Dubai International Boat Show commences. This event will ensure that key contacts are made prior to the show, therefore strengthening the opportunities for the Australian contingent.
