Motor Yacht Amaryllis by Abeking and Rasmussen, Reymond Langton Design
This wonderful Reymond Langton designed superyacht was delivered in 2011 by the large German yacht builder, Abeking and Rasmussen. The motor yacht Amaryllis really stands out from the crowd with its magnificent interior and exterior. She was designed with inspiration from the Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Belle Epoque eras making her a superb, luxurious superyacht. Along with looks comes functionality. You can easily enjoy cruising on board this beautiful vessel in comfort as she boasts two sets of twin Quantum zero speed stabilisers to ensure a smooth ride.
With a maximum speed of 16.5 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of 4,300nm the Amaryllis is the ideal superyacht to charter. She has a spectacular profile when at sea or at anchor with her white superstructure and navy blue steel hull.
The captivating interior
In the main saloon, you will see floral marquetry on the furniture, ceiling and walls. Furniture is cream and compliments the honey coloured sycamore wall panels. These have amazing curves which were created by the renowned cabinet makers from the UK, Silverlining. A formal dining room is situated above the main saloon and has a circular Ziricote table. There’s room for 12 guests to sit comfortably around the table situated underneath a glitzy crystal and bronze chandelier. Glass doors open from this room onto a semi-al fresco dining area.
A piano lounge is located forward of the dining area with a unique feature of a self-playing Schimmel Piano. Intricate marquetry, glittering artwork and light wall panels are illuminated by two crystal pillars that give off a warm glow. This spot is ideal to relax in, have a chat with friends or family and socialise.
Just because you’re at sea doesn’t mean you have to forfeit watching your favourite movies. The sky lounge on the bridge deck has a 103-inch television along with a bar and dining table. This area seats up to 12 people who can enjoy a mist cooling system when the heat turns up a notch. Two pendant chandeliers offer a lovely, soft ambience, just right for a romantic evening meal for two.
It’s pure luxury on board the Amaryllis whichever deck you’re on. The sky lounge steps lead to a huge sun deck. This deck has lots of sunbathing spots and comfortable sun loungers along with a bubbling Jacuzzi.
Check out the huge beach club on the lower deck. There’s a retractable swim platform here which can be lowered for sunbathers or easy access into the clear, blue sea. For those who like to stay trim while on vacation there’s gym equipment too. Enjoy working out, exercising and keeping fit on board. Further forward an Asian spa with sauna, steam room and plunge pool can be found, perfect to relax in after exercising.
Striking accommodation
The accommodation on the Amaryllis is absolutely spectacular. The owner’s state rooms which are forward on the upper deck can be accessed through a beautiful curved lobby. The walls of the lobby have been decorated in sculpted leather. A passage way leads into a huge study that has an Art Nouveau-style English walnut desk. The full-beam master suite further forward has been designed with large windows, a luxurious Art Nouveau hand-carved bed and a cream bamboo carpet. The colour scheme of this room is purple and gold – like a touch of regal splendour.
On the main deck of this luxury superyacht is the VIP suite that has a Japanese theme running through it. Silver with soft taupe colours, an automatic shoji screen which when open shows the marvellous views and a sculpted leather ceiling are the highlights of this suite. Three double cabins feature Art-Deco inspiration. One has a cream and olive colour scheme. The next one is decorated in purple and lilac while the third is in grey, royal blue and grey, a bit of a masculine look.
