In order to permit its BroadBEAM clients to access useful information about their marine VSAT services at any time and destination in the world via a mobile device, one of the best companies dedicated to networking as well as communication solutions for the marine industry, OmniAccess, has presented a new web based Customer Service Portal (CSP) and an iCSP, the world’s first iPhone App.

The portal, which was developed by the in-house technical team at OmniAccess during 2011/12, offers a broad range of functions, statistics, documentation, manuals and support operations within an easy-to-use real-time web portal.
One of the key benefits to yacht Captains and engineers is that there is now no need for them to be on-board the vessel in order to monitor the VSAT system, providing greater flexibility as well as time and cost savings. It is also possible to detect and escalate any problems, and to see an historic overview of the account.

From a single dashboard within the secure password-protected portal, OmniAccess’ customers can use the new CSP to check the current status of their VSAT equipment, the yacht internet connection state and bandwidth usage per vessel or fleet, as well as a host of additional information such as the vessel position. They can also access support tickets and manuals/helpdesk information, or contact the OmniAccess Technical Support team.

Since OmniAccess was established in 1999, the company has worked hard to develop a reputation as pioneers in the development of products and services that provide tangible benefits to its customers, and to provide complete transparency.

Carlos Carbajal, Managing Director Yacht Services at OmniAccess, said: “We were the first to provide flexible month-to-month VSAT service contracts in the yachting world, and our VSAT high-speed 20Mbps VSAT links with the BroadBEAM Ultra product was also an industry first. The new CSP and iCSP are the latest of a growing range of first-class innovative products that really help in the day to day operation of VSAT communications, helping our customers to more effectively manage their yacht or fleet.”

The new CSP and iCSP services are included free of charge with any OmniAccess BroadBEAM service subscription. The iCSP can be purchased via the AppStore for $0.99.
