Royal Huisman has unveiled updates to the striking 80-metre mega yacht DART 80 concept, magnificently designed by multi-award winning Andrew Winch, and first introduced at the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show. Available in two configurations with open sun deck or raised pilothouse, the DART80 design has undergone further engineering studies, and it now offers two very dynamic general arrangements.

DART80 can host a full-beam owner’s suite positioned on the main deck or a panoramic top deck master suite. Moreover, both configurations can include a full-beam main salon with glass walls, an aft beach club with side platforms for direct access to the water, a touch-and-go helipad, a pool on the aft deck and Jacuzzi on the sundeck, an elevator to carry guests between the cabin and sky decks, a dedicated cinema room, gym and beauty salon, as well as a generous garage with space for two large tenders of 9m and 10m respectively.

Furthermore, the notably low operational cost for a vessel of this size makes DART 80 an attractive proposition as both a private and charter yacht. She can easily achieve a maximum speed of 19 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots for fast and efficient transit speeds mixed up with lower fuel costs. Importantly, the engine room is positioned below the cabin deck with no through bulkheads that transmit noise and vibration into the accommodations.

More luxurious, more energy-efficient and more cost-efficient, DART80 can be equipped to consume less energy, and would therefore need to produce less energy. This sleek and powerful vessel boasts an eye-catching exterior profile resembling the arc of a leaping dolphin or radar mast taking inspiration from a whale’s tail fin, and represents a celebration of the intimate relationship with the ocean beloved by true yachtsmen.
