Wednesday 11 July will see a prestigious reception, organised by Fitzroy Yachts and Dubois and held at the New York Yacht Club, Model Room, 37 West 44th Street, while Thursday 12 July will be marked by an open day in Dennis Conner’s North Cove Marina in NYC, providing a unique opportunity to visit two of the most spectacular vessels constructed by Fitzroy and designed by Dubois: superyacht Zefira and luxury yacht Artemis (ex Salperton III).
With offices in New Zealand, USA, Spain as well as South Africa, Alexis Reeves has been recently appointed as new Manager for Southern Spars rig division, Rig Pro, in New Zealand. Having worked on rig projects such as the 90m sailing yacht Athena, or Dubois designed vessels, superyacht Zefira and luxury yacht Salperton, Alexis is a high experienced rigger.
This year’s Newport Bucket Regatta, taking place from August 24-26 will boast four luxurious vessels, designed by respected UK-based studio Dubois Naval Architects. These include the 44.7m luxury yacht Lady B, the 42.9m superyacht Drumbeg, the 49.7m luxury yacht Zefira as well as the 44.8m Timoneer superyacht.
66.9m luxury sailing yacht HETAIROS by Baltic Yachts, fitted with Ocean Yacht Systems´ hydraulic propulsion system has been nominated as a finalist for the ShowBoat Design and Technology Award 2012. Other finalists in the awards equipped by OYS are: the Yachting Development yacht Antares III, the Perini Navi superyacht Fidelis as well as the Alloy sailing yacht Vertigo.
