Plenty of exclusive events marked the 170th anniversary of the prominent Italian luxury yacht builder Riva Yachts, held from June 29 to July 1, along with the presentation of the largest open range boat by Riva, the 63′ Virtus yacht.
Attended by such expectional vessels as charter yachts Quinta Essentia, Lady Britt and Go, this year’s Rendezvous in Monaco ended on a high note, reporting a huge success.
The 55m Heesen luxury charter yacht Quinta Essentia’s owner, Mr. Valentin Zavadnikov, has been appointed the first Russian Ambassador for La Belle Classe Superyachts during this year’s Rendezvous in Monaco.
Taking place from June 21 to 24 at the Quai des États-Unis, this year’s Rendezvous in Monaco once again played host to the world’s most amazing vessels, including the 63m Feadship charter yacht Lady Britt, the 72m Lurssen charter yacht Titania (ex Apoise) and many others.
The overall winner of this year’s Westward Cup has become the luxury sailing yacht Mariette, followed by the charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora) and the superyacht Mariquita, respectively.
The three Big Class yachts racing in this year’s Westward Cup gathered today the Eatern Solent to compete for Yacht Club de Monaco Trophy. These include the 49.5m (160ft) charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora), the 42.06m (138ft) luxury yacht Mariette, and the 38.1m (125ft) superyacht Mariquita. Today’s race was won by Mariette, now having 3 points in the overall competing.
Day 1 of this year’s Westward Cup in Cowes, UK saw the 42m superyacht Mariette take the top position, followed by the 38m luxury yacht Mariquita and the 41.5m charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora) respectively.
The Yacht Club de Monaco’s members have recently gathered to participate at the traditional YCM summer coctail, looking to the future of this prestigious yacht club, connecting all those involved in yachting.
Four glorious big class vessels will grace the squadron start line for the second running of the Westward Cup, taking place from June 11 to 16, 2012, including the 39.5m sailing yacht Altair, the 41.5m charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora), the 42m superyacht Mariette and the 38m Mariquita superyacht. Also invited, but as yet unconfirmed, are the 46m sailing yacht Lulworth and the 32m luxury yacht Moonbeam IV.
The 4th La Belle Classe Business Symposium took place at the Yacht Club de Monaco, chaired by the YCM Secretary General Bernard d’Alessandri. It was a dinner-debate on the economic situation in the yachting industry, featuring the presence of over 50 professionals from across the luxury yachting supply chain.
