The impressive 65-metre mega yacht White Rose of Drachs hosted a series of the Global Marine Communications (GMC) breakfast meetings during the last week’s Monaco Yacht Show. These were organized in order to explain how it is possible to best manage the internet on yachts.
This summer, assistant professor Todd Humphreys from the Cockrell School of Engineering, and his research team, graduate students Jahshan Bhatti and Ken Pesyna, spent time aboard the 213-foot mega yacht White Rose of Drachs, successfully performing GPS spoofing attacks on the superyacht, while she traveled on the Mediterranean Sea.
