The 34th America’s Cup will be marked by the first official Superyacht Regatta. To be hosted by San Francisco, the event will run over the three America’s Cup Finals lay days; 9, 11 and 13 September, 2013.
Having climbed the 56,8 m (186 ft) mast, videographer Edu Brownes shot a spectacular video of the 53,5m Vitters superyacht Nirvana, passing under the Bridge of the Americas, which spans the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal.

The prominent UK-based design firm, Dubois Naval Architects, has recently signed two new sailing yachts for design, comprising a 49m composite sloop as well as a 51m flybridge sloop. The studio is currently working on several other designs, such as the 101m superyacht 380 concept.

The overall winner of the 2012 Newport Bucket Regatta has become the 102ft sailing yacht Indio, designed by German Frers and built by Wally. She has also won in her Gazelles class, while Sejaa yacht took first place in the Mademoiselle class. The next year’s regatta will run from August 23 to 25.
The Newport Shipyard is currently preparing for the 10th edition of the Newport Bucket Regatta, kicking off tomorrow. 17 luxury yachts measuring from 72 to 156 feet in length will attend, with the race debut for the 148ft superyacht Lady B by Vitters and Dubois.
Luxury charter yacht Sarissa’s swimming platform boasts special LED lights, installed by Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology. Built by Vitters and designed by Bill Tripp, this splendid vessel can accommodate up to 10 charter guests, cruising the Mediterranean as well as the Caribbean islands.
