Christophe Bullens and his boat Five Oceans of Smiles is the first participant to complete the qualifier of at least 2500 nm for the VELUX5 OCEANS. The VELUX5 OCEANS will start on October 17th.
Thousands of people gathered in London’s famous Leicester Square for the UK premiere of The Death and Life of Charlie St Cloud, a romantic drama in which Charlie (played by Hollywood star Zac Efron) falls in love with young solo sailor Tess Carroll (Amanda Crew) just days before she is due to leave for a round the world yacht race. Producers chose to base the race on the VELUX 5 OCEANS because of its reputation as one of the toughest challenges known to man.
