Last week’s Monaco Yacht Show was marked by the launch of the 2014 UIM Environmental Award and Special Mentions, which took place at the brand new Yacht Club de Monaco.
The Italian superyacht manufacturer, VSY, was honoured with the UIM Special Mention for Innovation during the UIM Environmental Awards 2013, thanks to its ‘Computational Sustainability’ programme.
It has been a very successful 5th edition of UIM Awards Giving Gala in Monaco, attended by 500 guests. During the event, the highly innovative Columbus 40s Hybrid yacht was announced as the 2013 UIM Environmental Award Winner.
Special mention for ‘Environmental Benefits’ went to the Azimut|Benetti Group in recognition of its multi-site ‘BS OHSAS 18001’ certification, demonstrating the strategic value attributed by the company to investments in safety, quality and environment. The prize was presented during the awards ceremony of the ‘UIM Environmental Award’, which took place in Monte Carlo on March 1, 2014.
The superb 40m superyacht Columbus 40s Hybrid by Palumbo won the ShowBoats Design Award 2014 in three different categories: Interior Design, Enviromental Protection and Holistic Design. She will also receive the UIM Environmental Award 2013 on March 1.
The prestigious Salle des Etoiles in Monaco will be hosting the 5th UIM World Champions Awards Giving Gala on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
The prestigious Italian luxury yacht manufacturer, VSY, has been honoured with the UIM Special Mention for Environmental Benefit. The award was received by Vienna Eleuteri, VSY Sustainability Project Manager, during the annual UIM World Champions Awards Giving Gala, held on February 23.
Sanlorenzo’s luxury motor yacht SL 94 has won the 2012 UIM Environmental Award. For the 2012 edition, there is a Winner as well as three Special Mentions. The trophies will be handed over at the annual UIM Awards Giving Gala which will be held on February 23.
The UIM will host its annual World Champions Awards Giving Gala on February 23. During the event, the
“Stefano Casiraghi Memorial Trophy” as well as the 2012 UIM Environmental Award and Special Mentions will be also presented.
3rd UIM Awards Giving Gala was held in Monaco, in February 11, 2012 with more than 400 guests present at this amazing event, including World Champions, national authorities, celebrities and VIP’s.

The UIM has announced the 2011 UIM Environmental Award Winner: the Azimut motor yacht Magellano 50, along with three special mentions dedicated to Mercury Marine, PlanetSolar Project and the Frauscher Shipyard.
