The Amels shipyard in Vlissingen, Holland hosted over 600 people that witnessed the christening of the 65m luxury yacht SEA RHAPSODY (hull 6502). This exceptional vessel is designed by Tim Heywood, with lovely interior by Andrew Winch Designs.

The fourth largest luxury mega yacht in the world – TOPAZ – was captured by Ian Bugby in August on the French Riviera in the Mediterranean, showing her during day as well as her spectacular lighting at night.
This month saw the successful delivery of the 147m luxury yacht Topaz, currently enjoying the popular Mediterranean. Constructed by Lurssen, this expectional vessel ranks as the fourth largest superyacht in the world.

The christening of the 65m superyacht Sea Rhapsody (hull 6502) by Amels was held in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, on Friday 20 April. Delivered on time, this exceptional vessel can accommodate a total number of 14 guests in luxury and comfort.
Boasting 6 beautiful cabins for 12 guests, the 55m (180′) superyacht Step One, belonging to the Amels Limited Editions 180 series, has been successfully delivered.
Amels LE 180 luxury yacht STEP ONE underwent successful sea trials on Tuesday, 4 April 2012. Amels LE 180 luxury yacht STEP ONE’s exterior is designed by the renowned British designer Tim Heywood and her full custom interior by Laura Sessa. She is the first in line of the 55 metres series and measurs 660 Gross Tons.
Three world renowned designers, including Andrew Winch, Terence Disdale and Tim Heywood, were presented at the Superyacht Design Summit, held on the 13th March at the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour (DCCH). They delivered a fun and fascinating insight into the experiences they have gained whilst designing for the Superyacht industry over the last 35 years!
Five superyachts by Amels are due to be delivered this spring, including two Amels 180, one of which is the motor yachts Step One and one Amels 212 – the Imagine superyacht, in addition to two extensive refits of existing Amels vessels. Amels has now become the largest superyacht builder in the Netherlands.
Limited Editions 171 motor yacht hull 461, a sistership to the luxury yacht Step One (ex hull 460) launched last month was launched by Amels last Saturday.
