PlanetSolar ends her 2014 campaign today and starts searching for new owner

PlanetSolar has successfully completed her 2014 campaign, which was launched in Boulogne-sur-Mer in France on April 13, 2014. The world’s largest solar-powered ship is currently searching for a new owner.

PlanetSolar concludes her TerraSubmersa expedition and leaves for Venice, Italy

Last Friday saw the world’s largest solar-powered boat, MS Tûranor PlanetSolar conclude her TerraSubmersa expedition. She set sail for the fabulous Italy yacht holiday destination – Venice on August 23, 2014.

PlanetSolar arrives in Athens as part of ‘TerraSubmersa’ scientific expedition

Yesterday, August 3, 2014, saw the MS Tûranor PlanetSolar, reach the Port of Piraeus in Athens, a beautiful Greece yacht charter destination, as part of the TerraSubmersa expedition. This is a collaboration between UNIGE, the Neuchâtel Latenium, the Greek Service for Underwater Antiquities, the Swiss School of Archeology in Greece, and the Hellenic Center for Maritime Research.
