This week saw sailing yacht Tara enter the heart of the Arctic, as part of the Ocean Polar Circle expedition. The main objective of this expedition is to better understand the Arctic ecosystem.
The robust 36-metre sailing yacht Tara embarked on her new scientific adventure – The Oceans Polar Circle expedition – on May 19, 2013. The main objective of this expedition is to collect plankton in the Arctic Ocean.
In collaboration with Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and agnes b., sailing yacht Tara will start her new expedition in the Artic this month. It will cover 25,000 kms and last 6 months.
May 19th will see Tara schooner depart on a new expedition, the Tara Oceans Polar Circle, a scientific adventure that will take 7 months.
