This year’s Rolex Swan Cup Caribbean was marked by excellent sailing conditions. Swan 80 superyacht Selene (CAY) and James Blakemore’s Swan 53 yacht Music (GBR) were confirmed as the two Class winners. Next year’s regatta will be held in the lovely Sardinia yacht charter location – Porto Cervo from 12-18 September.
It has been another perfect day of racing for 21 Swan yachts participating in the currently running 2015 Rolex Swan Cup Caribbean. Swan 80 superyacht Selene and Swan 53 yacht Music have once again won in their class.
The majestic Swan 90 S super yacht FREYA is owned by Santa Monica-based Don Macpherson. The vessel won the 2014 Rolex Swan Cup, which was hosted by the beautiful Porto Cervo yacht holiday location, nestled in Sardinia, Italy.
The second edition of the Rolex Swan Cup Caribbean will be hosted by the breath-taking Virgin Gorda yacht holiday destination, nestled in the Caribbean, from March 3 to 7, 2015. The first edition of this biannual event attracted 25 luxury yachts built by Nautor’s Swan.
Preparations for the 2014 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and the 2014 Rolex Swan Cup are in full swing at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS). Both September Rolex Regattas will be accompanied by the usual array of exclusive social events.
Measuring 27,5 meters in LOA, the majestic Swan 90 superyacht Spirit has been beautifully refitted by Yachting Developments from New Zealand. She has been converted into a contemporary family-friendly performance cruiser that maximises all on board spaces.
This year’s 62nd Giraglia Rolex Cup is set to kick off tomorrow, on June 13, hosting an impressive number of 242 yachts. These will include such outstanding vessels as the Swan 90 charter yacht Solleone.
After a consolidation of staff in early 2013, the well known NZ luxury yacht builder, Yachting Developments, has diversified to come out stronger, providing a full service offering for yachts. This includes refit work, survey work and haul outs, interior fittings and new build work.
Next week will be marked by the start of this year’s Rolex Capri Sailing Week. The event will be hosted by Marina Grande, nestled in the lovely Western Mediterranean yacht charter destination – Capri in Italy.
Superyacht Nilaya, luxury yacht Freya and charter yacht Moonbird were victorious in their respective divisions at the 2014 Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and Rendezvous.
Currently under refit at Yachting Developments, the Swan 90 superyacht Spirit has received the rigging and a full suit of Stratis sails, supplied by Doyle Sails NZ. She is due to be relaunched on April 2, 2014.
A record number of 60 yachts attended the recently concluded 6th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600. The overall winner of this year’s regatta has become George Sakellaris’ RP72 sailing yacht Shockwave.
