Marina Barcelona 92 and BWA Yachting announce Preferred Partnership Agreement

BWA Yachting, global leader in marine agency and concierge services to the super/megayacht industry, and MB’92, the largest shipyard in the Mediterranean specialising in the refit and repair of super/megayachts, have signed a preferred partnership agreement, formalising the terms of a long standing relationship of cooperation and mutual support the two groups have shared for the past 10 years.

Master Yachts to open refit management office in STP Shipyard, Palma

Master Yachts have opened a refit management office in STP shipyard in the Port of Palma. This operations office expands Master Yachts’ presence in Palma and will be an onsite base for refit project managers as well as providing office and meeting facilities for Captains and crew of yachts in the port.

Palumbo acquires Malta Superyacht Shipyard

Palumbo Shipyard, an Italian company headquartered in Naples, signed a 30 year deal with the Malta government for the acquisition of Malta Super Yacht Services (MSYS) now called Palumbo Malta Shipyard. Palumbo Group has taken over the yard this week, after having been declared the preferred bidder for the tender to acquire Malta Superyacht Services in late 2010.

Motor yacht Tumberry C under refit at Atollvic Shipyard

Atollvic Shipyard is currently refitting the 49m superyacht Tumberry C, a superyacht originally built by Benetti in 1998. The shipyard, based in Vigo, Spain has been commissioned to complete a variety of refit jobs which includes painting of the steel hull and part of the aluminium superstructure, and replacing the main teak deck as well as completing work on the interior furniture. The work is expected to take three months to complete.

North Wind Yachts Shipyard in Barcelona, Spain for Sale

North Wind Yachts in Barcelona, Spain has put its shipyard, repair & refit facilities up for sale following plans to relocate. The facilities at North Wind’s site in Barcelona include a fully equipped production hall measuring 60m in length x 30m wide x 23m high and a five-storey office with exceptional Mediterranean views. An external esplanade measuring close to 12,000m2 is also available for repair and refit works.

As such they are co-exhibiting at the 2011 Antibes Yacht Show that runs from the 7th-10th April, during which a dedicated team will be on hand to discuss all refit needs.

90m Sailing yacht Athena – the largest superyacht to be refitted in New Zealand

Feadship farewells refitted superyacht Odyssey

After final commissioning and successful sea trials, the newly refitted Feadship Odyssey has set sail for the Caribbean. The project started exactly ten months ago when the yacht arrived at the Feadship yard in Makkum after a harsh and icy crossing piggybacking on top of a yacht transporter from the US.
