Boat International Media are pleased to announce that the nominations for the 2015 ShowBoats Design Awards are now open. The event will take place on the 23rd February, 2015 in Kitzbuhel in Austria.
Entries are now open for the Young Designer of the Year Award 2015, once again sponsored by the prominent superyacht manufacturer, Oceanco. All entries must be received by 12 midnight on Sunday 10th August 2014.
Austria’s Kitzbuehel Country Club has recently hosted the World Superyacht Awards 2014 panel of judges, comprised of twenty superyacht owners and led by Chairman Roger Lean-Vercoe. They gathered in the venue’s prestigious facilities to consider the impressive list of 62 superyachts honored as finalists.
Two French superyacht designers, Pascal Conq and Raphael Laloux, have been honoured with the prestigious ShowBoats Design Award 2014, as proudly announced by the French luxury yacht builder, JFA Yachts.

The inaugural ShowBoats Design Awards took place last night at the exclusive Mar A Lago Club, Donald Trump’s private members club in Palm Beach, Florida. Following a two-day Superyacht Design Symposium, 350 guests gathered for an evening of cocktails, a gala dinner and Awards ceremony honoring the Superyacht industry’s creative talents; the architects, designers, stylists, craftsmen, and innovators in yacht technologies.
With more than 200 nominations for The Showboat Design Awards 2010, it was an incredibly tough task for the experienced panel, however the 2010 winners have been selected.
Excitement was in the air as delegates began arriving in Palm Beach for the 3rd Annual Superyacht Design Symposium. Attendees to this two-day workshop on large yacht design issues and management topics reads like a Who’s Who of the industry’s “A-Team.”
