The leading Dutch shipyard Amels successfully launched its 55-metre superyacht Engelberg (hull 463) this weekend. Designed by Tim Heywood, she offers luxurious and comfortable accommodation to 12 guests in total.
It is a very busy period for the Monaco Marine shipyard in La Ciotat, with 18 yachts on site. These include such spectacular vessels as the 74m mega yacht Ilona.

Amels LE 180 luxury yacht STEP ONE underwent successful sea trials on Tuesday, 4 April 2012. Amels LE 180 luxury yacht STEP ONE’s exterior is designed by the renowned British designer Tim Heywood and her full custom interior by Laura Sessa. She is the first in line of the 55 metres series and measurs 660 Gross Tons.
Five superyachts by Amels are due to be delivered this spring, including two Amels 180, one of which is the motor yachts Step One and one Amels 212 – the Imagine superyacht, in addition to two extensive refits of existing Amels vessels. Amels has now become the largest superyacht builder in the Netherlands.
